Indians one win away from Big House

With a 61-58 second round road victory over Houston, the Yazoo City Indians find themselves just one win away from advancing to the Mississippi Coliseum, a.k.a. The Big House, in a quest for a Class 4A state championship.
Yazoo City advanced to play Houston after defeating Clarksdale 71-52 in the first round.

Jones, Reasor represent YCHS

Yazoo County assistant coach Jermaine Jones and sophomore Dakwon Reasor participated in the Magnolia Sports Association (MSA) All-Star game at East Cental Community College on December 29th. Lady Indians crowned MMJAC Champs

The Woolfolk Middle School Lady Indians finished the 2024-2025 season as the Mid-Mississippi Junior High Athletic Conference Champions.

The Lady Indians defeated Williams-Sullivan 35-17 in the championship game.

Lady Indian Kimora Young was named MMJAC Most Valuable Player for the season.

Lady Panthers get revenge, 40-36

Not only did the Yazoo County Lady Panthers avoid a season sweep by their rival Yazoo City with a 40-36 win last week, they snapped a 9-game Lady Indian win streak in the process.

The Lady Panthers led 9-8 after the first quarter of play and increased their lead to 16-12 at the half.
