When submitting photos for publication, please attach them in jpeg format at the highest possible resolution. Please identify everyone in the photos.

We actively seek engagement announcements, weddings, awards and achievements, school news, letters to the editor or anything relevant to our community. We are a community newspaper, and we want to keep our readers informed about anything going on in Yazoo County or news about Yazoo natives. Our staff writers also welcome news tips.

5. How do I place an ad in your newspaper?

Just call one of our advertising representatives at 662-746-4911 or send an email to jason@yazooherald.net. Tell us what you want and our production staff will quickly design an advertisement that fits your needs. There is no charge for ad design and composition.

9. What are your business hours?

Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

10. Where is your newspaper printed?

Our pages are designed and composed by our staff in Yazoo City before being electronically transferred to the printing press at the Delta Democrat Times in Greenville. We then transport the papers back to Yazoo City for distribution.

11. What are the politics of your publications?

Our editorial opinions are based on what we believe is right and not influenced by political affiliation. We also welcome opposing viewpoints. We believe that the exchange of different ideas and opinions is an essential part of our mission. Letters to the editor and guest columns are strongly encouraged.
