Carter Crow elected MAIS State Student Council President

At the recent MAIS Student Organization Convention, Carter Crow was chosen Most Outstanding Student Council Member in the state and was elected as the upcoming MAIS State Student Council President for 2021-2022. Carter is a junior at Benton Academy and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Crow Jr., of Vaughan.

Shots fired into 18-wheeler on I-55 Friday

Investigators believe road rage was the cause of an incident where shots were fired into the cab of an 18-wheeler on I-55 in Yazoo County. 

The shots were fired around 1 p.m. Friday on I-55 North near the 134 mile marker. 

The Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are investigating.
