A Yazoo City woman was charged with manslaughter after an alleged confrontation led to a shooting that left one man dead.
Michael Travis, 30, died from a gunshot wound, according to Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers.

Ward family returns to Vanjon's

When Pam Ledbetter joined the Vanjon’s Pharmacy’s family, owner Vanjon Ward expressed one wish to her.
“He told me he wanted his son in here one day,” she said.
That wish came true last summer when Vanjon’s son, Wade Ward, invested into his late father’s business and purchased back the family business.

City appoints election commissioners

Dustyn Warren has been located at a ministry in Hattiesburg.
