A Yazoo City woman was charged with manslaughter after an alleged confrontation led to a shooting that left one man dead.
Michael Travis, 30, died from a gunshot wound, according to Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers.
LaToya Taylor was charged with manslaughter following her arrest at a home on Wheless Street around 2 a.m. on April 12.
Capt. William Nevels, with the Yazoo City Police Department, said officers first responded to the scene after receiving complaints about a domestic dispute.
"When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the body of the victim who was dead upon arrival," Nevels said. "He was killed by apparent gunfire, but this case does remain under investigation."
After speaking with eye witnesses, Nevels said Taylor was arrested at the scene.
"Although we are still investigating, it is alleged that this stemmed from a physical altercation," Nevels added.
