Two men dead in chase that ends in Vaughan

A car chase from Holmes County ended in the Vaughan community leaving two Pickens men dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Terry Gann, chief deputy with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said the incident occurred on May 27 around 5 p.m. and ended near Vaughan and Bennett Road.

Hampton said it’s time to hold parents accountable

Police Chief Kenny Hampton said his department has started to put some teeth in their efforts to curtail some of the recent juvenile crime within Yazoo City. He said it is time to start holding their parents and other adults accountable.
