Winona whips Mavs, 70-40

Manchester Academy dropped a 70-40 decision to Winona Christian to fall to 0-2 on the season.
This was their second time in as many weeks playing Winona and despite falling two times, MA head coach David Dew noticed some improvements the second time around.

Falcons beat Panthers by 10

The Yazoo County Panthers are still searching for their first win after dropping a 61-51 decision to the Velma Jackson Falcons last week.
The Panthers led 12-10 after one quarter of play, but the Flacons outscored them 25-18 in the second period to take a 35-30 lead at the half.

Lady Mavs down Central Holmes

With a 42-39 victory over Central Holmes Monday night, the Manchester Academy Lady Mavericks improved to 2-0 on the young season.
Manchester’s other victory came against Discovery Christian, 49-25.
Against Central Holmes, the Lady Mavs were led by Presley Trammell with 22 points.
