Manchester Academy returned to the baseball diamond on Monday night with a 17-0 thrashing of Park Place Christian Academy.
In the first inning, things didn’t seem like they would get too out of hand too early.
The Mavericks put up two runs in the bottom of the first inning to give thme a 2-0 lead.
After a scoreless top of the second inning, Manchester came out and put the thing away in the bottom of the inning.
Scooter Prince’s squad produced 15 runs to end the game at 17-0.
The Mavericks scored 17 runs on 12 hits and three hit batters with five walks to only three strikeouts.
Manchester only had one error in the dominating win.
Will Fouche had a gem on the mound in the win for Manchester.
Fouche threw a no-hitter in four innings, giving up only two walks to 11 strikeouts.
Fouche also went 1-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored.
Blayke Dendy hit the ball well once again, going 3-for-3 with four RBIs and three runs scored.
Senior Thomas Turner went 0-for-2 with a walk, three RBIs and two runs scored.
Warner Griffin went 1-for-2 with a three-run double in the victory.
Ranier Roberts went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and three runs scored.
Bob Black, Warner Griffin, Rico Davis and Brett Williamson each had an RBI in the winning effort.
Manchester faced Park Place in a rematch on Tuesday night, but it was not upon completion by press time.
Next up for the Mavericks is a home contest against St. Aloysius on Tuesday night.
The first pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
