After a much-needed bye week, Yazoo City High School’s Indians came out and rekindled the magic that made them such a force in the early portion of the season.
Their 28-0 dismantling of Gentry High School all but guaranteed them a spot in the playoffs this year.
The win gave them a 6-3 overall record (1-2 in the district).

Next up for the Indians is an important district game against Rosa Fort that will determine playoff seeding.
Rosa Fort is 4-4 on the year (1-2 in the district) after falling 34-12 to Clarksdale on Friday night.
Kickoff at Rosa Fort is set for 7 p.m.
