Melissa M. Jones, 61, of Bentonia, passed away at her residence on Thursday, March 10, 2022. A homemaker, she was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Jones; daughters, Frances (Brian) Jenkins, Erica (Robert) Franklin, Destiny Jones, and Patience Jones; sons, Thomas McCoy, Lloyd (Anna Claire) Jones, William Jones, David Jones, and Gabriel Jones, all of Bentonia; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Michael McCoy of Caldwell, TX, James McCoy of Tinsley,and Jonathan VanVoochees of Tyler, TX; and sisters, Shari Rutledge of Greener Ferry, AR, Jamie McCoy and Michelle Sullivan both of Bentonia.
Services were held on March 13 at Stricklin King Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Central Holmes Cemetery on Dover Road in Yazoo County. Rev. Scotty Smith officiated.
Pallbearers were Chris McCoy, Scott McCoy, Kevin Rutledge, Taylor Jenkins, Frankie Page, Sam Johnson, Bryce Ketchum and Clint Ertle.
