One of the survivors of Pensacola’s Naval Air Station mass shooting last week is a Yazoo County native.
Charles Hogue, a NAS Pensacola police officer, was one of the eight people shot and injured. He is expected to recover.
Hogue is a native of Bentonia and graduated from Bentonia High School in 1979.
The investigation continues with interviews about the Saudi Air Force trainee who killed three sailors on the base where he was a visiting student. The gunman was identified as Second. Lt. Mohammed Alshamrani, who was shot and killed by a sheriff’s deputy at the scene of the attack.
