A Yazoo City woman was arrested earlier this week after Wisconsin authorities issued a postal warrant for alleged mail embezzlements.
Bettie Clifton, 50, of 1200 West Eleventh St., was charged with mail fraud.
Police Chief Ron Sampson, with the Yazoo City Police Department, said his department was contacted by the United States Postal Inspector in connection with a Milwaukee warrant for Clifton’s arrest.
“She was wanted out of Wisconsin on a mail fraud, embezzlement charge,” Sampson said. “She was allegedly making unauthorized purchases.”
The local police department was contacted last month about Clifton, who was arrested at her home on Oct. 2.
