The second suspect in a house burglary and truck theft from the Phoenix community was apprehended in Vicksburg this week.
Brian Odom, 29, was charged with grand larceny and burglary after the local authorities picked him up after he was arrested in Vicksburg.
“We are currently searching for the third suspect, who we believe is a Vicksburg resident,” said Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department. “We also continue to work on recovering the truck that was stolen from the home as well.”
Gann said the stolen truck remains unrecovered, but it has been seen at a Jackson gas station.
“We do not believe the third suspect is still in possession of the stolen truck,” Gann said. “We think they sold the truck to someone else.”
The first suspect was arrested last week after members of the Phoenix community held him at gunpoint following his chase from deputies.
Damon Henderson, 29, was charged with burglary and failure to comply.
The incident began with a house burglary, resulting in the theft of several items. Following the burglary, the suspects then stole the victim’s truck, loaded down with the stolen items.
The truck is a green 1997 GMC with the front grill busted and a tag number of YA11972. To report the whereabouts of the suspects or truck, call the sheriff’s department at 746-5611.
