A robbery suspect was arrested this week after snatching a woman’s purse outside the library.
Jeremy Wilson was charged with strong armed robbery after he allegedly forced a Ricks Memorial Library employee to hand over her purse.
“The victim was getting out of her car outside the library when he approached her, demanding her purse,” said Capt. William Nevels. “He only used strong force, no weapon.”
Nevels said officers later apprehended Wilson as he was walking in a park near Fouche Apartments.
“The suspect then led officers to where he dumped the purse on Monroe Street,” Nevels said.
Wilson remained in jail as of press time.
