An effort to enforce the city-wide curfew led to officers making three drug arrests last week.
Taithi Harris and Johnnie Harris were both charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Cordarius Davis was charged with possession of ecstasy.
Capt. William Nevels, with the Yazoo City Police Department, said the arrests were made at The Blue Store on West Second Street.
"Officers were responding to people being out after the city's current curfew," Nevels said. "During the effort to clear out the store's parking lot, these arrests were made on the suspects who were in the parking lot in their vehicles. Suspicious behavior led officers to question the suspects, resulting in these arrests."
Drugs were discovered inside both vehicles.
The city currently has a 9 p.m.-5 a.m. curfew in place during the Shelter-in-Place order in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
