The 19-year-old charged with robbing and murdering a man outside his apartment Wednesday morning had recently been charged in connection with another shooting.
Alonzo Alexander is charged with capital murder in the death of John Felton, 63. Felton was found murdered outside of Oakhaven Apartments, where he resided, early Wednesday morning.
Alexander was charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle in the Shady Lane apartment complex property last month. He was among four suspects arrested after a stolen gun was found inside the vehicle that they were all passengers inside.
Investigators have recovered what they believe is the gun used to kill Felton. Items stolen from Felton were also recovered during Alexander’s arrest.
