An altercation that left a man with a broken jaw led to the arrest of a Yazoo City man who was out on bond for a similar charge.
Dewayne McCullum, 32, was charged with attempted aggravated assault after a violent altercation at Oak Haven Apartments.
Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said the victim reported the incident, which led to investigators filing charges against McCullum.
“He hit the victim so hard that it broke his jaw, leading him to be hospitalized,” Gann said. “McCullum was already out on a felony bond for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.”
