The second annual Antique Days Festival returns to Yazoo City next Saturday.
The popular festival and Kibbie Competition will be held on Oct. 24 on the grounds of the Triangle Cultural Center. There will also be a variety of other activities held throughout the day as well.
“If you want a good old fashioned home cooked fluffy hot biscuit filled with fresh made cane syrup, you want to be at Antique Days in Yazoo City...” said Phyllis Haynes, event organizer. “Get your biscuit and be entertained all afternoon long with the sounds of local bands like Ace Cannon, blues from Aaron Bell, Travis Wammack and his band and Jamie Isonhood.”
Children can paint pumpkins and get their face painted in the Kids Zone.
The Yazoo trolley will also be available for a ride through Yazoo City to see the architectural beauty of local historic churches.
There will also be a variety of entertainment at the Triangle.
“Bring the whole family to Antique Days,” Haynes added. “The children will want mom and dad to win the remote and pedal tractors that remind us of the Mississippi Delta farming heritage.”
Aside from the popular antique cars, Haynes is also excited about the return of the Kibbie Competition.
“Antique Days will help us to slow down, put away that mobile thing and just enjoy a fun day with the whole family,” Haynes said.
The show opens at 7 a.m. continues with food, music and activities until 7 p.m.
