Surrounded by a group of wide-eyed boys, covered with wet red dirt, my ears were piercing with the sound of bats banging against a fence with the scraping of cleats against the concrete. I had sprays of Gatorade hit my face a few times. I spent more time looking for lost gloves and helmets.

Blueberry and sweet potato plan to join MSU’s 11 other palette-pleasing ice cream flavors in 2026 at the MAFES Sales Store, also the home of infamous MSU cheese.

Inmate death reported at federal prison

An inmate at the local federal prison was pronounced dead within his jail cell after being discovered unresponsive last weekend.
Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers said Adrian Kordell McCleary, 28, was pronounced dead by Pafford paramedics, following multiple life-saving efforts.
