Utilizing a balanced passing and rushing attack, the Manchester Academy Mavericks steamrolled past Marvell, Arkansas this past Friday, 50-8.
The Mavs totaled 414 yards of total offense (277 yards rushing and 137 yards passing).
Jake White led all rushers with 143 yards and three touchdowns on five carries. Adam Edgar had one carry for 75 yards and a score, Tobias McGee had three carries for 25 yards and a score and Ethan White had a two-yard TD.
Quarterback Reed Roberts was perfect in the pocket connecting on 4-of-4 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown.
Owen Pillow also completed a pass for six yards.
Kemp Black’s 79 yard receiving and a score led the MA receiving corps followed by Brody Roberts with 58 yards and Micah Guttery with six yards.
On defense, Garner Burton, Sam Bunch and Ty Walton each had four tackles.
Jake White had three tackles and an interception, and McGee had one tackle and a fumble recovery.
MA ends the regular season this Friday at home against Calhoun Academy.
