What’s Carlyle Saying: Says Carlyle, “We have some returning guys whose roles will increase and some inexperienced guys who we will need to come along as the season goes for us to be successful. The guys are working hard and we’re excited to see their progress and hope it leads to the Coliseum.”
Season Outlook: The Indians were a win away from a Coliseum appearance a season ago so the goal this year is definitely a return to the Big House. It’s time for Grayson (entering his fourth year on the court) to turn the corner and lead the Indians to prominence. All-Star Collum should have a productive year and sophomores Hoover and Winston are ready for breakout seasons themselves. Lacking size, Carlyle’s waiting on forwards Rogers and Burnett to complete football season and when they arrive, the Indians will be ready to complete last season’s unfinished business.
