With a 4-0 victory over Winona last week, the Yazoo County Lady Panthers won their fourth straight region championship and are eyeing another playoff run.
The Lady Panthers improved to 12-5-1 on the season and will play Belmont in the first round of the playoffs beginning Friday.
The first game will be played at 5 p.m. at Yazoo County followed by a 4 p.m. game Saturday at Belmont.
Against Winona, Lily Andrews, Anna Kiley Leal, Ella Alexander, and Madison Gardner each had RBIs for the Lady Panthers.
Andrews picked up the win on the mound, striking out eight and walking one while allowing no runs and no hits in seven innings.
Yazoo County also posted a 15-0 win over district foe Amanda Elzy last week.
