Both the Benton Academy Raiders and Lady Raiders were successful in last week’s conference tournament as the Lady Raiders won it all, and the Raiders finished in second.
The Lady Raiders defeated Deer Creek 65-23 in the tournament opener and won the conference crown with a 62-53 victory over Central Holmes.
Brynn Blackstock (20), Emma Middleton (15) and Ella McCain (12) led the way against CHA.
The Raiders opened play with a narrow 49-46 win over Humphreys but fell to Central Holmes in the final, 72-47.
Clayton Saxton and Colin Washington led the way with 15 and 14 points respectively.
Benton hosts the MAIS North 3A Regional Tournament this week.
