A Yazoo City man wanted for allegedly assaulting a female victim has been apprehended by officers after being on the run since last year.
Antonio White was charged with aggravated domestic assault after he was arrested by Sgt. Demarcus Peeples this week on Perkins Drive.
Interim Chief Jay Winstead said White has been wanted by local authorities since August of 2019.
“A citizen reported White’s whereabouts to us, enabling us to find him and make an arrest,” Winstead said. “That is the kind of assistance we need within our community. We rely on the community just as they rely on us. Information like this greatly helps us keep our community safer.”
Det. Sherry Myers is currently handling White’s case, which was an alleged assault on a female victim that caused extensive bodily harm.
