The Yazoo City Fire Department is excited to announce that applications are being accepted for its annual Fire Academy for the local youth.
Chief Ricky Harris said the annual event has been successful for many years, adding that 64 graduates completed the summer camp last year.
The camp will begin on June 10 and will conclude on June 14. Applications, which also include a $20 fee, are being accepted for children ages 4 to 15 years old.
Application deadline is May 29, and forms can be picked up at the main fire station, located at 210 S. Washington St. in Yazoo City.
