Brynn Blackstock hammered a three-run home run in the first inning to set the tone for a 15-0 Benton Academy win over Manchester Monday.
Blackstock and Maci Lowery drove in three runs each in the home win.
Lowery allowed just one hit and no runs to earn the win for BA.
Lucy McDaniel drove in two runs in the second inning, and Lowery, Braelynn Sumrall and Annalise Turner each had an RBI to build on the lead.
The Lady Raiders secured the victory in the third inning with seven runs on six hits.
Lowery and Kaitlynn Becker both had two-run singles, Sumrall had an RBI double, Turner had an RBI single and Lura Greco drew a walk with the bases loaded.
Sunmrall went 3-for-3 at the plate for the Lady Raiders. McDaniel had two hits for BA.
Molly Foster had a hit for Manchester to lead the Lay Mavericks at the plate. Angel Rae Carpenter drew the only walk.
Embrie Carpenter started on the mound for MA, and Analee Whitworth appeared in relief.
Benton will travel to Manchester on Thursday for a rematch. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
