Kenneth Patrick Harris, 68, of Magee, MS, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at the Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Tuesday, October 1, 1957 in Brookhaven, MS.
Kenneth was a simple man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like music, and fishing. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Harris; mother, Opal Murphy Harris; and brother, Robert Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Lynn Lucas Harris; son, Trinity Harris (Chelsea); brother, Jeff Harris; two half-brothers and one half-sister.

Sammie Lee Mullins Gambles slipped away from her family and friends on December 25, 2025 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was 74.
Sammie was born December 17, 1951 to Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Mullins of Mendenhall. Sammie was a passionate and skilled basketball player who was a deciding factor in the success of the Lady Tigers. She was also a Mendenhall High Beauty. She graduated from Mendenhall High in 1969 and went on to Hinds County Junior College where she was a Hinds High Stepper. She later finished Beauty School and began her life’s work.

Joyce was born and raised in Mize, MS. She married her husband, James Marcus Jones, and they moved to the Martinville Community in Simpson County. They became active members of the community and started their lives together, raising their family. She was a faithful member of Old Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church.
