Registration for local youth baseball and softball is underway, and organizers are excited for the successful program to return to the community.
Registration opened on January 1 and will continue until Feb. 28. After the deadline, there will be a $100 late registration fee.
This year’s baseball registration pricing includes:
• Junior T-Ball, coed, ages 3-4: $60
• Soft Toss, coed, ages 5-6, $75
• Coach Pitch, boys, ages 7-8, $95
• Minor League, boys, ages 9-10, $100
• Major League, boys, ages 11-12, $100
Baseball games will be played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with game times at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Games will be played in various locations, based on the age division, including John White Outfield for Junior T-Ball; John White Infield for Soft Toss; Sam Nicholas for Coach Pitch; Wardell Leach Recreational Complex for Minor and Major League.
This year’s softball registration pricing includes:
• Coach Pitch, ages 4-6: $70
• Coach Pitch, ages 7-8: $85
• Kid Pitch, ages 9-10: $90
• Kid Pitch, ages 11-12: $90
• Kid Pitch, ages 13-14: $90
Softball games will be played on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays with make-up games on Fridays at the softball fields at the Wardell Leach Recreational Complex. Questions concerning softball can be emailed to yazoogirlssoftball@gmail.com.
