Born and raised in Yazoo County, Kiara Gainwell is proof that purpose can rise from humble beginnings. Owner of Bare Skin Aesthetics in Ridgeland, she never forgot her roots as she continues onto the next chapter of success and purpose.
The daughter of Cynthia and Napoleon Gainwell, Gainwell is a graduate of Yazoo County High School. She earned her associate degree from Holmes Community College and her bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.
But her path didn't stop there.
“With a desire to help others feel confident, radiant, and empowered, I pursued my esthetician license and stepped boldly into the world of aesthetics,” Gainwell said. “It is my passion to learn more about skin and corrective skin care to apply to my life and to be able to share that with others.”
Gainwell opened her business, Bare Skin Aesthetics on Jan. 20.
“Owning a business has taught me great responsibility, to remember someone is always watching, and to remember to remain professional at all times,” she said.
At Bare Skin Aesthetics, Gainwell specializes in full body waxing, customized facials and confidence restoration. And although she admits there have been challenges, she has used her faith and resilience to transform her own story and purpose.
“The most rewarding aspect of my business is owning it, having more than enough credibility to run it, building client relationships, and helping whoever comes in contact with me feel good in their own skin,” she said. “Beauty can come from life’s trials. But there is power to rebuild stronger than before.”
Yazoo County raised her. Now she serves with excellence.
