A Yazoo County man allegedly under the influence remains behind bars after repeatedly calling 911 to report he was being stalked by people near his home.
Percy Drain, 45, was charged with resisting arrest and abusive calls to an emergency phone.
Chief Deputy Terry Gann, with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said Drain could be charged with a felony if he abuses the 911 emergency line on two more occasions.
“He kept making calls to 911 claiming that people were hiding in the bushes and in the woods near his home, trying to get him,” Gann said. “Deputies responded several times, thoroughly searched the area and found no one. He was then warned to stop making the 911 calls. The final response from the deputies resulted in Drain being arrested after he attempted to run after being warned.”
