A suspect wanted on several warrants out of Yazoo County was recently apprehended by park rangers.
Jaelon Burkes was taken into custody on several warrants, including introduction of contraband into a correctional facility, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, resisting arrest and possession of cocaine.
Sheriff Jeremy McCoy said deputies were notified of Burkes’ arrest by the United States Park Rangers.
“He was pulled over on the Natchez Trace Parkway,” McCoy said. “When they ran his license, it was discovered that he had several warrants out of Yazoo County.
