Voters will head to the polls next week for the county-wide general election. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
For the post of sheriff, three candidates will appear on the ballot with Democrat Jeremy “Bull” McCoy, Republican Wade Zimmerman and Independent Theodis Freeman.
For District 1 Supervisor post, there will be four candidates with incumbent Republican Danny “Lee” Moore Jr., Democrat Kent Adams and Independents Joe Ashley and Lance VanDevender.
For District 2 Supervisor post, there will be two candidates with incumbent Independent David Berry and Democrat Kenneth O’Quinn.
For District 3 Supervisor post, there will be two candidates with incumbent Independent Willie “Deuce” Wright and Democrat Derek Jackson.
For District 4 Supervisor post, there will be two candidates with incumbent Independent David Shipp and Democrat David Peyton.
For District 5 Supervisor post, there will be two candidates with incumbent Independent Cobie Collins and Democrat Joseph Thomas Jr.
For the Circuit Clerk post, there will be two candidates with incumbent Democrat Robert Coleman and Independent Erin K. Williams.
For the Chancery Clerk post, there will be two candidates with incumbent Independent Quint Carver and Democrat Romeka Mack.
For the Tax Assessor post, there will be two candidates with incumbent Democrat Denise Robertson and Independent Trish Aldridge.
For the Tax Collector post, there will be two candidates with Democrat Miranda Alexander and Independent Anita Pigg.
For the Justice Court Judge, Southern District, post, there will be two candidates with incumbent Independent Bennie K. Warrington and Democrat Danny Neely.
For the Justice Court Judge, Northern District, post, there will be two candidates with incumbent Independent Pam May and Democrat Calvin Thomas.
For the Southern District Constable post, there will be two candidates with incumbent Democrat Eddie “Ace” Smith and Independent Pat Rush.
For the Northern District Constable post, there will be two candidates with Democrat Henry Collins Jr. and Republican Sean Echols.
