Thirteen nominations were recently appointed by the city council to serve on various local boards and committees.
The nominations were approved during the recent Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting. Those appointments included:
• Historical Preservation Board: Yolanda Curry
• Yazoo City Housing Authority: Mamie Jean Williams
• Parks and Recreation Commission: Willie Richardson
• Planning and Zoning Board: Quintella Luckett, to replace Robert Barton, who resigned; Rev. Robert Green, to replace Daniel Pender; and Oliver Sampson, reappointed to previous post
• Public Service Commission: Susie Robinson Greer, to replace McArthur Straughter
• Triangle Advisory Board: Delosia Miller, reappointed to previous post; and Jamie Patterson, reappointed to previous post
• Election Commissioners: Barbara Haymer, reappointed for Ward 1; Marcia Arp, reappointed for Ward 2; Juanita Lear, reappointed for Ward 3; and Mamie Williams, reappointed for Ward 4
