Dear Editor,
Last week, I had a health issue that landed me in the Yazoo Baptist emergency room. I had not been feeling well for a couple of weeks, and on Friday afternoon I decided that I needed to visit the emergency room. Ordinarily, I am not this smart, but this decision saved my life.
While sitting in the emergency room, a catastrophic event occurred, and my blood pressure dropped to a level where it was difficult to measure. Thanks to the emergency room physician and the nurses, I was prevented from making that solemn one-way trip to the cemetery. They were simply excellent. They knew exactly what to do, and they did it quickly, calmly, and professionally. I cannot say enough good things about this great ER staff. I can only say thank you for what you did.
After spending four days in the Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Jackson, I finally convinced the doctors that I was ready to go home. Thankfully, I am “back on the front page.”
Sincerely yours,
Walter J. Patterson
