Yazoo County soccer improves to 6-0

Anna Kiley Leal, pictured above in action against Forest Hill. scored three goals to pick up the Lady Panther’s first hat trick of the season in Yazoo County’s 6-0 win over Forest Hill. Also scoring goals were Mollie Blackwell, Skyler Saxton and Bella Everett.

Lady Raiders take 57-43 victory

Brynn Blackstock and Leta Greco combined for 30 points and 10 rebounds in Monday night’s 57-43 victory over Central Holmes.
BA improved to 8-3 with the win.
Blackstock had a game-high 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Greco chipped in with 12 points, three rebounds and three steals.

St. Aloysius tops Raiders, 66-49

The Benton Academy Raiders dropped to 0-2 after a 66-49 loss to St. Aloysius.
The Raiders previously lost to Tri-County Academy.
Tanner Vandevere led the Raiders in scoring against St. Al with 16 points and eight rebounds.
Ethan Shanks had a double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Peyton Compton had 10.

Lady Indians fall to Humphreys County

The Yazoo City Lady Indians trailed the Humphreys County Cowgirls for most of last Friday night’s game before making a huge fourth quarter comeback.
In the end, however, the Lady Indians needed a few more minutes and ultimately dropped a 54-50 decision.
The loss drops the Lady Idians to 1-7 on the season.
