Panthers fight back to KO Kosciusko

After a relatively disappointing 2018 season, the Yazoo County Panthers seemed to have righted the ship with a 20-16 comeback win in the final 20 seconds of the game over Kosciusko on Thursday night in the season opener.

The win has the Panthers sitting 1-0, back to undefeated.

Yazoo City falls 34-14 at Lanier

Yazoo City’s Indians took a tough 34-14 loss to Lanier High School on Friday night to kick off the 2019 football season.

The Bulldogs ran the ball 46 times for 366 yards and five touchdowns.

According to Yazoo City head coach Rodney Adams, the constant barrage of Lanier’s rushing attack proved to be a lot for a young defense.
