A female suspect finds herself behind the same bars she was allegedly attempting to sneak drugs and cellular phones into last Sunday.
Elizabeth Cain, 39, was charged with smuggling contraband into the jail.
Chief Deputy Edward “Tra” Ferrell, with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said Cain arrived at the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility during its visitation hours.
“A search is made on every visitor to the county jail,” Ferrell said. “During the search, marijuana and a cell phone were discovered on the suspect.”
Cain was then placed into custody and remains behind bars as of press time.
