A female suspect who decided to take a rest at a local church inside a stolen vehicle found herself behind bars after OnStar disabled the vehicle.
Sharee Clifton, 31, was charged with possession of stolen property after local deputies apprehended her at a church on Highway 432.
Chief Deputy Terry Gann, with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said local deputies were contacted about a vehicle stolen in the Jackson area that OnStar indicated was in Yazoo County.
“It was shown to be a church on Highway 432 so myself and deputy Richard Speight went out there to check on it,” Gann said. “We soon found the vehicle at the church, and the female suspect was still inside it when we arrived. She apparently pulled off at the church, and OnStar disabled the vehicle during the night.”
Gann said more charges are pending with Jackson law enforcement.
