The GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi unveiled a new addition to its permanent exhibits experience. The Mississippi GRAMMY® Archives—Mississippi Map is now open to the public in the Mississippi Gallery of the Museum. Made possible by a $150,000 grant from the state of Mississippi, which was secured in 2019 by now Commissioner Willie Simmons—the Mississippi GRAMMY Archives is an interactive map that features Mississippi-born GRAMMY winners and nominees, GRAMMY Hall of Fame inductees and Lifetime Achievement Award winners and highlights their connections to the Mississippi Country Music Trail and Blues Trail. The interactive map serves to educate all visitors on the vast impact Mississippians have made on the American musical landscape.
