Raymond High School spoiled Senior Night for Yazoo City High on Tuesday night.

A couple of late free throws gave Raymond High School a 48-46 win over Yazoo City High.
Raymond jumped out to an early lead by outscoring Yazoo City 15-11 in the first quarter of play.
The Lady Rangers extended their lead to seven with a 11-7 quarter in the second, bringing the score to 26-18 at the half.
The game was nearly put out of reach in the third quarter when Raymond outscored Yazoo County 15-6 to take a 41-24 lead with only eight minutes left to play.
In the fourth quarter, the Lady Indians rose up and took control of the game. They closed the gap and put themselves in position to win.
Yazoo City’s Gabriella Campbell hit two free throws with 10 seconds remaining to make it a 46-46 game, but a Raymond player was fouled with three seconds remaining, sending her to the line. She responded with two made free throws, giving Raymond a 48-46 win.
Destiny Henderson was the high scorer for the Lady Indians with 15 points in the close loss.
Gabriella Campbell also scored double digits in the loss with 10 points.
Tykelia Green rounded out the top three with six points in the losing effort.

The Indians of Yazoo City High could not overcome a first half scoring explosion from Raymond.
Raymond jumped all over Yazoo City in the first half, outscoring them 26-9 in the first and 24-7 in the second to take a 50-16 lead at the half.
Raymond came out of the break with a slower pace and outscored Yazoo City 13-9 before the Indians won the fourth 22-19, making the final 82-47.
Chavis Banks was the leading scorer for Yazoo City with 13 points.
Clintrell Green had eight points in the loss.
Tra Lard rounded out the top three in scoring with seven points.
Yazoo City will return to the court on Tuesday when they travel to face Cleveland High School.
Tip-off for the first game is set for 6 p.m.
