In a huge field of eight teams at the State AAA Golf Tournament, Manchester Academy came through with a fourth place finish.
Manchester’s Mark Peaster had a really nice day on the course, leading the Mavericks with a 77.
Michael Hughes earned a second place finish for the Mavericks after shooting an 81.
Ole Miss commitment Matt Liddon shot an 82 on the day to give him a third place finish on the team.
Dylan Dendy, a seventh grader coming off of his best performance of the year at the Manchester open, once again rose to the occasion and beat his personal best with an 85 to round out the top four.
Parks Poe also shot his best tournament score with an 87.
Reece Singleton also shot an 88 in the tournament.
Heritage won the state with an incredible 312 on the day.
St. Aloysius took home the second place trophy after shooting a 318.
North Delta barely edged out Manchester for third place with a 324.
Manchester came in a fourth with a 325, edging out Simpson Academy, who put up a 328 on the day.
Silliman Institute came through with a 347 in the heated tournament. Centreville put up a 377, while Columbia rounded out the tournament with a 400.
