Yazoo County was brought back to reality by perennial playoff team Kosciusko.
The Lady Whippets defeated the Lady Panthers by a score of 10-0.
Yazoo County High School softball coach Grant Andrews believes his team’s youth is evident at times.
“Kosciusko is a 4A state playoff contender every year, so when you play a team like that, you cannot make a lot of mistakes because they will make you pay for them,” Andrews said. “The mistakes we are making right now are young mistakes, but I feel like by the end of the season, we will not be making these mistakes.”
The Lady Panthers will return to action on Monday when they host St. Joe at 5 p.m.
