GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi, in partnership with Take Me to the River, will host a free professional development event for teachers on Monday, Oct. 10, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sponsored by the Ella Fitzgerald Foundation, the event will feature special guests including Berklee College of Music’s Arin Canbolat, Assistant Dean, EOSE; Partnership Compliance and Career Development, Berklee City Music; saxophonist Donald Harrison, NEA Jazz Master and Big Chief of Congo Square in Afro-New Orleans culture; Boo Mitchell, GRAMMY®-winning engineer, producer, composer, and owner of Royal Studios in Memphis; and Martin Shore, award-winning filmmaker, GRAMMY-nominated producer and director/producer of the 2014 music documentary Take Me to the River.
