I grew up with an old saying, “Sometimes you don’t realize what you have, until it’s gone.” The older I’ve grown the more I’ve realized the truth in this simple statement. If you’ve never had health issues, you cannot imagine the value of a physically sound body. If you’ve never experienced infidelity or divorce, it’s easy to take for granted just how blessed you are in a faithful covenant relationship. Sadly, often it is only after losing something of worth when we realize just how valuable that treasure was in the first place.
King David, renowned to be “A man after God’s own heart” the God-Warrior who defeated the mocking giant Goliath, became an adulterer, a murderer, a lousy father, and a wayward leader. Yet, we read David’s plea in Psalm 51 for God to restore him to the joy of His (God’s) salvation. David realized that all he had chased in the world paled in comparison to the joy brought by living as a redeemed child of the Creator of the Universe. David realized what he had only when it had been thrown to the wind; then he wanted it back and pleaded with God.
Yes! I am outspoken politically, but not without BIBLICAL principles as the foundation for my argument. As you read this, we are less than thirty days away from LITERALLY surrendering our country to tyranny, or standing en-masse, demanding that the imps, angels, and agents of Satan himself be silenced because we stand for life, faith, family, freedom. YES! I will say without shame, their lives bear witness of this truth – countless “leaders” on the left have sold their very souls to the father of lies, and they now function at his every command – in speech and action, as national leaders. These will make every effort to drag this nation AND YOU to Hell with them if they can . . . Hate on Trump if you must, but at least the man has stood firmly for the four principles mentioned, to this day! Now, it’s your turn! YOU CANNOT claim to be a follower of Christ and vote for a party which CELEBRATES the murder of infants, newborn and unborn! YOU CANNOT claim Christ and vote for a party which is committed to SILENCING every Christian belief as hate speech – all the while allowing every other “religion” on the planet to coerce people into walking in their systems of belief. PLEASE SHOW ME where this same party has done ANYTHING to uphold any values of the traditional family, God’s version of marriage and covenant relationship! That same party has worked since 2016, with fervor, to give away EVERY right of U S Citizenship to illegals, terrorists, and enemies of the state, attempting to SHAME YOU AND ME for demanding that rights earned by the blood of legitimate U S Citizens are somehow selfish and wrongful to claim.
Sadly, unless WE THE PEOPLE, that is RIGHTFUL AND LAW ABIDING citizens of The United States of America, and “MY PEOPLE” (II Chronicles 7:14), those who are walking in right relationship with God Almighty stand, stand boldly, and stand without wavering, insisting that right prevail, declaring that evil has no place (by our voice and our vote), I fear we too will find ourselves like David, lamenting what we allowed to slip through our fingers, both as a free nation and a Kingdom of Believers. For you see my friends, in his most notorious act, King David was doing what too many Americans have chosen to do, slumber. In the day, Kings went off to war. Kings led the defense of their nations when battles raged. David, on the other hand, was lounging, shirking his responsibility. You know the old saying, “An idle mind . . .” Ole shepherd-boy-king, awoke from a lazy nap, strolled out onto the balcony of his palace, and there he saw opportunity, and, well, as Mr. Paul Harvey was famous for saying, you know, “The Rest of the Story. . .”
ANTIFA, BLM, WOMEN’S RIGHT TO CHOOSE, RIOTS in the name of equality, lying tongues and treasonous acts by former leaders of this nation, coin shortages, COVID-19 ( A PLANNED PANDEMIC – in my view), threats of a second impeachment by one of Satan’s leading charges in Washington – a Jezebel in the highest order, a generation who’ve bought the propaganda of socialism and Communism and want everyone to live “equally” (and they have neither a pot nor a window to throw it out of) desiring to GIVE everything to everyone, defunding law enforcement, Democrats attempting to totally crash a 22 TRILLION dollar economy, and countless other “Allures” have captured the imagination and attention of MILLIONS of Americans. REAL issues like child slavery and abortion (battlegrounds) are being ignored while the slumber of selfish desire (BLM for instance) has countless individuals casually watching, but not engaged, while destruction (the fruit of sin) takes over this nation. Oh, David may have enjoyed a good roll-in-the-hay with a beautiful woman (who was someone else’s wife, by the way), but the cost of David’s brief moment of selfish pleasure echoes throughout history to this day. We can sit by and allow these evil distractions to keep our focus off the battle, just as did King David, or we can rise up and call darkness for what it is, wield the sword of truth, and shut the mouths of the purveyors of this list of lying causes, some of which seem pleasurable.
We all have our “woulda, coulda, shoulda” lists, like David. At this moment in history we will either be people who buy the lie of our “authority”, assuming on our Kingdom position or our American Citizenship as a right-of-passage to do what we please vs what we should (David slumbering instead of leading the battle), or we will be people who realize that maybe, just maybe, we’ve been slumbering as well, and now the battle threatens to destroy all that we hold dear – both as a free and sovereign nation and as a freed citizen of The Kingdom. Will YOU find yourself longing for the blessings which were once yours, like David, begging to be restored, or will you at this pivotal moment in time demand that the distractions which others see as ‘attractive’ (the forbidden fruit of selfish desire) be put down in rightful authority and charge boldly into the battle, without regret? I can only imagine how many times King David replayed that infamous day in history and wished that he had stood against darkness instead of surrendering to it. History demands that you choose – November 4th is not about voting Trump vs someone, instead it is about voting for right and Godly principals to prevail over evil, dark, selfish and destructive “charms” of the enemy, which are VERY deceitful. . .
