A few lessons from a couple of guys whose people were in trouble . . . my Yazoo friends

Friends, it’s now August 2020, and this whole COVID-19 gig has had America in its grip since mid-March of this year. Yes, I know it started earlier, but the country began to put on the proverbial brakes in March.  To add to COVID-19, those in power saw it as a lynchpin to begin subversive and treasonous actions. Everything from civil behavior to the world’s greatest capitalistic free economy have been targets – including America’s national sovereignty. FIVE MONTHS – nothing but total chaos, deception, and destruction!

BLACK LIVES MATTER – covered that last month. Sports Teams acting like we American’s can’t live without them and their excessive lives – still laughing at those egotistical brats! Journalism – true journalism is all but dead.

Authorities (The Supreme Court) cowering to a realistically non-existent people group – gutless.  FYI – transgender, gender confused, etc. – call me crass, but at least I’m honest. This non-issue is EASILY resolved. Drop your pants – got an “outie”, you’re a male; got an “innie”, you’re a female.  God only made two genders. If you show me someone with both pieces of sexual equipment in the same place, it’s gonna be a frightening site. Accept it. God either made you male or female.  MOVING ON! Then you have to laugh at the low-position leaders (in the big picture) acting as if they became God - justifying rioters but vilifying church goers. This whole season of heightened stupidity could just blow a fella’s mind!  I MEAN IT!  Intelligent, educated adults, acting as if they’re three-year-old-children whose crayons got taken.  GOD HELP US ALL!  These issues are being thrust upon the American people by Anti-American people who want the government to become their mommy so they suck on a free source of milk instead of having to buy their own cow. Our Presidential Election is ninety days away! The outcome is not about Republican or Democrat, the outcome is about remaining a free and sovereign nation, or becoming a melding of Socialist, Communist and Marxists ideologies which have PROVEN to destroy people and nations throughout history.  So, where does a Believer in Christ stand in the middle of this meltdown of morality when common sense, decency, and sound thinking have become taboo!?

Well friend, if you’ll take a little time and read just two books in the Bible, you’re gonna see that Solomon was not lying when he told us that there is nothing new under the sun. (A third book – Ecclesiastes)  Check out the world condition we find in the books of Esther and Nehemiah.  In Esther, a guy named Mordecai discovers that his people are at risk of being annihilated. Mordecai had raised his uncle’s daughter, a girl named Esther as his own. (her parents both died) Read the story! Esther became Queen to a guy who is godless in all kinds of ways, through a unique turn of events, and now Mordecai clues her in on what’s happening. Her people are about to be eliminated!  HIT PAUSE. Jump to Nehemiah. Nehemiah is servant to a King who is not of Jewish lineage (Nehemiah’s nationality) and Nehemiah gets word that his people’s “capitol city”, if you will, is in waste and falling into foreign hands.  Now, HIT RESUME.

Lesson one – in both stories the people of God prayed. Not just, “God is great. God is good. Keep us free and give us food” kind of prayers. I mean these folks got down – sack cloth and ashes serious about having God rescue their nation!  James, the half-brother of Jesus reminds us that even demons tremble at the speaking of the name of Jesus!  What if believers began to EARNESTLY petition God to rescue this nation. WHAT IF!?  May I be honest? IF it truly happened, and millions of believers got serious with God, you’d see liars in Washington struck mute. You’d see rioters laying on the ground begging for help to get home. God would strike them with temporary lameness such that they couldn’t walk or throw bricks, or carry signs, or utter putrid words.  PRAY. . . but pray Believing and claiming God’s word as the true promise it is. Ask God to do what He’s famous for – THE MIRACULOUS!

Lesson two – both guys were men of action.  Mordecai develops a plan of action because he knows the chips are down.  Nehemiah develops a plan of action and starts to make things happen, WITH THE BLESSING OF A FOREIGN KING!!!  Really. Do yourself a favor. Read these stories in detail; Grisham’s writing has NOTHING on these two true-life stories!  The culprit behind the situation of Mordecai’s people is constantly exposing his true self and doesn’t realize that he’s going to soon be at the end of his rope.  Nehemiah is not only rallying his people to take back what is rightfully theirs and rebuild A WALL, YES A WALL to protect themselves FROM ENEMIES, but all the while Nehemiah and those working with him are keeping a sword handy to fend off their enemies – brick-mason’s trowel in one hand, sword in the other.  The point, BELIEVERS are going have to get up off the pew and get in the battle!!!!   We have NINETY DAYS to see an Esther-sized miracle. We have ninety days to rally the troops and defend what GOD established. YES!  I do believe that America was birthed by the Almighty, Sovereign, God of the Universe – I DO; but He won’t defend America if His people won’t!

Lesson three – STOP TRYING TO MAKE PEACE WITH THE ENEMY!  Partial obedience is TOTAL DISOBEDIENCE!! Mordecai didn’t call Haman, the ringleader of the coup and say, “Hey dude. I know we’re on opposite sides, but can we work something out?”  Three hilarious jokers who were trying to destroy Nehemiah’s efforts kept trying to negotiate because they saw their tyrannical grip being stripped away. Nehemiah refused! DID YOU HEAR ME!?  Nehemiah didn’t give his enemies the time of day! He stayed focused and kept his people moving. May I tell you something?  When Nehemiah started to move, the people moved with him, en masse!  If the number of God-fearing evangelicals in this nation truly rose up, the godless would be scattered. You don’t hold hands and sing Kumbaya with the enemy and expect to win!  This is not about negotiating so that the enemy doesn’t get his feelings hurt. . . SPOILER ALERT!!!! -  Nehemiah’s people COMPLETED the wall and were restored to safety WITH THE ENEMY OUTSIDE THE WALL, in fifty-two, YES, FIFTY-TWO STINKIN’ DAYS!!!!  Mordecai? His people were spared, and they didn’t give Haman a time out – the King KILLED that treasonous lecher.

The time is now. God IS the solution! His ways are the ONLY lasting ways. God’s people have THROUGHOUT HISTORY prevailed, not because we’re great or perfect, but because GOD IS GOD!  He just expects His own to grow a spine and stand with Him for justice. It is my prayer that God’s people will SHOW, by rightful action, SHOW the enemy that he has crossed a line in this country, and we are, in God’s authority, taking back what has been stolen.

Because HE has No Beginning or End,     Brother Royce
