Wanda Eloise Elinburg Kyle, 78, went to her Heavenly Home early Monday morning, March 7, 2022, at Neshoba General Hospital in Philadelphia, Mississippi. She was one of nine children. Eloise was born in Cruger, Mississippi to Joe Frank and Verna Dean Plunkett Thrasher on October 22, 1943.
Eloise was known by many names but the ones she loved the most were Mom, Mamaw, Grandmother or Gramy. Her family was her life. She loved raising and caring for all of them. She was a great cook who taught her daughters to cook and later her grandchildren. She did her best to teach them how to live a life of caring and respecting of others. She also did not mind letting them know when they were doing things the right way and had no problem correcting them. Eloise was a hard working mother and wife who loved her family and her Heavenly Father.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Johnie Elinburg and Roy Kyle; siblings, Ernestine Parker, Geraldine McGough, Frances Robinson, Judy Rash, Ruth Sherrie, and Peggy Diane Head. She leaves behind her loving family; daughters, Wanda (Lynn) Wilkinson of Conehatta, Alice (Buddy) Boyanton of Yazoo City; sons, Johnie R (Amanda)Elinburg Jr. of Caledonia, Willie Joe (Lynn) Elinburg of Conehatta and a special son, Dennis Cleverly of Conehatta. She also leaves her pride and joy, a blessing from God, 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great- great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Mortimer Funeral Home in Belzoni, Mississippi. Visitation will began at 1 PM follow by the service at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Mortimer Funeral Home is honored to have been entrusted with the arrangements.
