Vona L. Goza, 86, passed away October 8, 2016 at Halcyon Hospice Ministries. Funeral services were Tuesday at Pine Bluff Baptist Church with burial at Pine Bluff Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Goza was a native of Dentville. She was a member of Pine Bluff Baptist Church and loved gardening. She worked for Hardy Wilson Hospital as a nurse aid for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Goza.
She is survived by her son, James Goza of Poplarville; daughter, Patsy Matthews of Yazoo City; 2 grandchildren, Chris Carr and James Goza; and 2 great-grandchildren, B. J. Carr and Donavan Carr.
