Timothy Colan "Timmy" Boatner, 62, of Benton passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 25, 2024. He was born on October 29, 1961 to Otis William Boatner and Annie Louise Pierce Boatner.
Visitation is Tuesday, August 27 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm with the service immediately following, all at Stricklin King Funeral Home in Yazoo City. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery, 10199 Eden Midway Road in Benton.
Timmy was a lifelong resident of the Linwood community and a 1980 graduate of Manchester Academy. He was a man of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle and operating his bobcat. Timmy loved his family and his greatest joy was being "T" to his four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Jimmy Boatner.
Timmy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Glynda Dillon Boatner of Benton; two daughters, Rebecca Hood (Landon) and Ashley Williamson (Jacob); granddaughter, Mary Mason Williamson; grandsons, Cooper Hood, John Landon Hood and Baylor Williamson, all of Lexington, brothers, Pierce Boatner (Nanci) of Vaughan, Howard Boatner (Cindy Lou) of Benton and sister-in-law, Cindy Boatner, of Vaughan, Aunt Faye Pierce of Benton, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers are Bo Boatner, Jason Boatner, Will Boatner, John Wesley Boatner, Joe Boyette, Bill Harris, Jr, Ronnie Mason and Keith Pierce.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tyler Diffey, Cooper Hood, John Landon Hood, Brett Narmour, Jerry Pierce, Ronnie Whitfield and Baylor Williamson.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Holmes County 4-H Club, P. O. Box 330, Lexington, MS 39095.
