Stephen “Steve” Edward Street, born on October 21, 1957, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, at the age of 67, surrounded by his loving family. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Steve touched countless lives with his kindness, humor, and steadfast spirit.
Steve was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 42 years, Pamela “Pam” Roope Street, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. He was also preceded by his parents, Hess and Grace Toombs Street, and his siblings, James David Street and Ethel Joyce Coker.
Steve is survived by his loving children, daughter Stephenie Joye Street (partner Will Norwood) and son Stephen Hunter Street. He was a proud grandfather to Peyton Michael Ellzey, William Dyess Norwood, Pamela Reese Street, Baylor Ridge Street, and Maisie Grace Nelson, who brought him immense joy and pride. He is also survived by his two sisters, Nansy Huntsberry and Vivian “Bib” Steed, and his brother, Michael “Mike” Street. Steve leaves behind a large, loving family that includes many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will fondly remember his warmth and laughter.
A true outdoorsman, Steve had a deep love for nature and was an avid hunter. He found peace and joy in the woods, and his passion for the outdoors was something he cherished throughout his life.
Services to honor Steve’s life will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City, MS. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.
