Pamela Sue Edgar passed away peacefully at her home in Madison, MS, on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born September 23,1949, to Archelous Edwin Edgar, Jr. and Mollie Wilson Edgar of Yazoo City, MS.
While growing up in Yazoo City, Pam was active in 4-H activities and represented Mississippi as the National Pork Queen. She was a cheerleader and graduated from Yazoo City High School in 1967. She attended Mississippi University for Women and was later employed with Halliburton and Lambert for most of her adult life. She completed her working career at LeFluer Transportation in Ridgeland, MS.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, A. E. Edgar, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Mollie Wilson Edgar of Yazoo City; daughters, Sunny McCullough of Flora, MS, and Lauren Lasley of Madison, MS; brother, Archie Edgar III (Angie) of Yazoo City, MS; granddaughters, Ariel McCullough, Leta McCullough, and Alayna McCullough; and grandsons, Austin Lasley and Garrett Lasley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be this Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Martha Coker Green House Homes pavilion in Yazoo City, at 3:00 pm.
